LED is the abbreviation of "Light Emitting Diode", the Chinese translates as "light-emitting diode", it is a semiconductor device that can transform electric energy into light energy. Chip is the core of LED, different materials chip can send red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and other different colors of light.
LED production process can be divided into substrate preparation, epitaxial wafers and chip production, packaging and application of several links, applications include signals and instructions, backlight, lighting, display and so on. LED chip package refers to the process of encapsulating the LED chip or bracket with epoxy or silicone and other materials. Specifically, the process of arranging, fixing and connecting the LED chips and other components on the support or the substrate, leading the connection terminals, and encapsulating and fixing the LED chip and the transparent light-transmissive insulator to form the overall three-dimensional structure. Packaging process is mainly to provide adequate protection chip, chip in the air to prevent long-term exposure or mechanical damage and failure, in order to improve the stability of the chip.
